The UNOH Racers played host to Defiance College on Sunday afternoon at the tennis courts on the campus of UNOH. The Racers continued their dominance over Defiance as they down the Yellow Jackets 9-0, to stay undefeated in the three years of the series between the Racers and the Yellow Jackets. In doubles play, Juniors Logan Wyse and Bryan Wright won 8-0 at the #3. At the #1, Sophomores Jeff Brown and Juan Cardenas won easily 8-1. Finishing up in doubles at the #2 were Freshman Cassio Sirimarco and Junior Chris Cash as they won 8-4. In singles play, Juniors Jason Sarno at the #4, Evan Carr at the #5, and Troy Schroeder at the #6 all won 6-0, 6-0. Jeff Brown won 6-1, 6-3 at the #1, Juan Cardenas won 6-2, 6-4 at the #2 and Alexander Hager won 6-3, 6-3 at the #3 to complete the shutout for the Racers. The Racers are now 4-0 on the season. They will compete in the ITA Regionals starting on the 17th of September, and then will close their Fall season at Otterbein on September 27th. |
