The Racers faced Capital University on Sunday afternoon for the first time in the short tenure of the UNOH tennis program. It was expected to be a tight match, and the fans in attendance were given much more than that. Despite a valiant effort, the Racers fell by a final of 5-4 to Capital. For the Racers in the singles' matches, all Racer victories came in straight sets as No. 3 Jason Sarno won 6-3, 6-0. At the No. 5, Troy Schroeder won 6-4, 6-1. At the No. 6, Logan Wyse was victorious as he won in a pro set 8-6. Two singles' matches went into the third set tie-breaker as Evan Carr and William Draur each fell in the third set. Evan Carr lost 6-2, 3-6, 15-13 and William Draur lost 6-1, 2-6, 10-7. For the doubles' matches, Bryan Wright and Jason Sarno won 8-2 at the No. 1 position. The Racers will now head to Hilton Head, South Carolina for a 5 match schedule which kicks off Monday morning on March 24th against Colby College out of Maine. UNOH will also face Hartwick, Sioux Falls, Principia, and Erskine during the week.
