The UNOH Men's Golf team squared off against several AMC opponents in the Malone Fall Invitational at Tannenhauf Golf Course over the weekend. The Racers regrouped from their Day 1 start and climbed into 7th overall place at the event. On Day 1, the Racers were sluggish out of the gate and fired a team total of 314, that round put them in 9th of 11 teams. Jason Klaus led the Racers with a 74 on the day. Brian Bowker joined Klaus in the 70's with a 79. Daniel Rex, Jake Swartz, and Scott Kayser each fired an 80,81, and 83. On Day 2, the course and playing conditions improved for the field as the Racers shot a 307 to move the Racers into 7th for the event. Once again leading the Racers was Jason Klaus with another 74. Scott Kayser also shot a 74 on the second day of the event. Jake Swartz stayed in the 70's as well with a 79. Daniel Rex was right behind with an 80, and Brian Bowker reached the clubhouse with an 89. The Racers individual two-day totals was led by Jason Klaus with a 148. Scott Kayser fired a 157, while Jake Swartz and Daniel Rex were right behind with 160's. Brian Bowker finished with a 168. The Racers will be back in action on Saturday, September 27 when they will take part in the Capital Fall Invitational. |
