The UNOH Racers took part in the 14th annual Jon Speiss Memorial Tournament in Wauseon, OH. The Racers were led by Medalist Jason Klaus' 69 and needed a 5th golfer tiebreaker to win the tournament with a school record 299 team total.

Junior Jason Klaus led the Racers with a 69, which earned UNOH their first medalist in school history. The round of 69, was also a tournament record for an individual in the 14 years of existence.

Junior Jake Swartz was the next Racer score with a 76. Senior Daniel Rex and Freshman Matt Warnecke each fired 77's. Only 4 scores are used to calculate a team score, but the Racers were tied with Rochester, and needed to use the 5th man score of Senior Joe Hobensack, he finished with a 78 to give the Racers the tournament victory.

The Racers finished with a team score of 299, which is now the new 18-hole team record for the Racers. The Racers finished 1st of 6 teams at the event.

The B Team played at the event, and finished with a team score of 314.

The Racers will be back in action on September 18th and 19th when they play in the Malone Fall Classic.
