Final Stats

The UNOH Racers opened their fall season with a strong showing at the USF Cougar Invitational. The Racers sat in 5th place after day one firing a team total of 342, but responded with a day two 2nd place total of 305 to finish 3rd with a team total 347.

The Racers returned to the course with all 5 golfers from the spring. Day one got the best of the Racer golfers as Jason Klaus shot an opening round 81. Jake Swartz playing at the No. 4 spot, shot an 85. Scott Kayser and Daniel Rex both shot 88's on day one. Rounding out the scoring on day one for the Racers was Brian Bowker who finished with an 89.

On day two at the USF Invitational, the UNOH Racers displayed the ability to perform at a high level as the team fired a school record 305. Every Racer improved from their day one performance. The most improved was Brian Bowker who shot a 74 on day two to lead the charge. Jason Klaus was right behind the effort with a 75. Daniel Rex fired a second day round of 76. Scott Kayser and Jake Swartz rounded out day two with an 80 and an 82.

For the event, Jason Klaus finished 6th overall with a two day total of 156. Brian Bowker was the next highest Racer at 15th with a 163. Daniel Rex was right behind him in 16th with a 164. Jake Swartz and Scott Kayser were right behind them with a 167 and 168 respectively.

The Racers will be back in action on September 16th as they travel to the John Speiss Memorial Golf Tournament held in Wauseon, OH.
