The Racers golf team closed out their spring season at the Malone Invitational on April 18th and 19th at the Tannenhauf G.C. in Alliance, OH. UNOH scored their best two-round total of the spring 625 to finish 7th out of 8 teams at the event. The top performer over the weekend for the Racers was Scott Kayser who finished with rounds of 78 and 74 for a total of 152 to finish tied for 19th. Jason Klaus scored a 78 and 76 for a total of 154 to finish tied for 22nd. Daniel Rex opened the tournament with a 75, but finished with an 80 for a score of 155 and tied for 25th. Jake Swartz finished with an 83 and an 81 to score a 164. The Racers first season was a success and will resumer play in the fall of 2008 with full membership into the American Mideast Conference and with post-season eligibility. Final Team Standings: 1.
