The UNOH Racers finished off their weekend at the Shawnee State University Tournament with a 71-52 loss to Muskingum. Once again, the day game after a night game showed too many ill effects on the young men from UNOH. The Racers were even with the Muskies early in the second half, but struggled to score the rest of the game. With the score being tied at 31-31 after a three point play by Josh Vorst, the next 8 minutes belonged to Muskingum as they went on a 21-11 run to bring the score to 52-42. The Racers kept the game within 10 points until the 8 minute mark, as then Muskingum went on to finish the game on a 18-8 run. The Racers poor shooting only led to two players in the double figures column. Josh Vorst led UNOH with 13 points and 8 rebounds. Jason Sarno came off the bench to chip in 10 points. For Muskingum, Brandon Todd scored 20 points, Tyler Felt had 14, and Pat Byrne had 11. The loss moves the Racers to 0-4 on the season, Muskingum's first result of the year is a victory and they are now 1-0. The Racers will be back in action Tuesday, November 20th at Goshen with the tip off set for 8:00 PM. |
