This past Friday was the start of our Racers Motorsports team where both Logan Wyse and Boo Klenke displayed great skill driving the quarter mile track. Logan Wyse finished tenth in his feature but placed first in his heat race. He was one of the leaders until he spun out and couldn't maintain control. Logan is looking forward to this season and although he said it is taking a little while to get use to the track, he is learning what the car can do. He praised his teammates and said that they all work well together. Boo finished 15th in his feature and seventh in his heat race. Paul Higgins said, " Boo made a fantastic effort but the car just wasn't working for him." This is Boo's third year driving at the track and thought that this past Friday went well. He also praised his teammates, "there are good students working out there this year, we all adjusted to the atmosphere of the track coming from the shop at school." Paul Higgins, the head coach, is very excited and is looking forward to this year's race season. He is very proud of the students for their hard work and dedication in building the cars for the motorsports team. The students did 100% of the work this year while the instructors supervised and directed on the construction of the cars. Logan and Boo are looking forward to this race season and both have high hopes! They will race again this Friday, May 2 at 7:30pm at Limaland Motorsports Park! |
