"I would like to thank Dr. Jeff Jarvis and the UNOH community for giving me the opportunity to coach at a university which embraces the family concept of teamwork."

"I want to thank the twelve players and coaching staff (Julie McCollough and Mike Armbruster) of the 2010-11 season for the opportunity to coach this past season. They gave me confidence and played hard no matter what the score was. It was an honor and a privilege to coach and teach the game of basketball to these ladies," he said.
Coach Menchhofer's previous four years at UNOH has instilled his personality and coaching throughout the university. UNOH President Dr. Jeffrey Jarvis stated "Kyle Menchhofer has been a part of the University of Northwestern Ohio for four years and is the type of individual I like to surround myself with. He stepped up this past season with taking over our women's basketball team mid-season, and it is an easy decision to make him our head women's basketball coach on a permanent basis. In addition to (athletic director) Chris (Adams) and my opinions, the players, faculty and staff endorsed Kyle Menchhofer as our coach."
Menchhofer spent the previous four seasons as the assistant men's basketball coach under head coach Chris Adams. In those four seasons, the Racers totaled a record of 53-69.
"Kyle Menchhofer brings a wealth of experience to the UNOH women's basketball program," Adams said. "He has outstanding rapport with his players. He is the type of coach who is firm, yet really cares about his players. He's a genuine person and the players feed off that."
Menchhofer came to UNOH with 16 years of coaching experience at all different levels within high school. Before arriving at UNOH, coach Menchhofer was the head coach at New Knoxville High School for two seasons, and in those two seasons, he led the Rangers to two sectional titles. These men taught me the game of basketball and the values in which is instilled such as hard work, dedication, preparation and loyalty. These are the same values that I intend to pass along to current and future players at the University of Northwestern Ohio."
