A big, hard throwing lefty, Ben was 5-1 at the College of Lake County. Recording 48 K's in 50 innings, Ben will compete for a starting role for the Racers in 2011. One of three Canadians on the roster for Coach Hartman, Ben showed well this fall and has worked hard to add much needed movement to his mid 80's fastball. "Ben has really showed his coachable spirit by working with Coach Best on adding movement to his fastball. We expect that Ben will mirror the success that he experienced at CLC here at UNOH and become a true leader for our younger pitchers this season."

Ben is the son of Bentley and Trina Ehgoetz who reside in Stratford, Ontario, Canada
