LIMA - With a huge week on the horizon, the University of Northwestern Ohio volleyball team first had to take care of business Tuesday night against Marygrove College. The Lady Racers left no doubt they're heading into a key stretch of games with a 3-0 win over the Mustangs.
With the win (25-10, 25-17, 25-13), the Lady Racers improved to 26-1 overall and 7-0 in the conference and kept their winning streak alive at 23 games. The Mustangs fell to 9-17 overall and 0-7 in the conference.
Emily Crowell came up huge with a double-double, totaling 10 kills and 16 digs. Brittany Egbert led UNOH with 11 kills. Reigning WHAC Player of the Week Lauren Maxwell had 35 assists and 14 digs.
UNOH begins with a match at Aquinas College on Wednesday before play No. 18 IU-East on Friday at the Crimson Wave Invitational. The Lady Racers host No. 19 Madonna University in a matchup of the top two WHAC teams Wednesday, October 24.
