LIMA - Freshman tennis player Daniel Rueda played three days at the USTA/ITA National Small College Championships in Mobile, Alabama, and comes home with a third-place finish. Rueda earned the spot with a win in the ITA Regional Tournament in September.

The fourth-seeded Rueda won his first match in the tournament 6-4, 6-3 over Marek Ondruj from the University of the Southwest. He lost in the semifinals to top-seeded Nicolas Pinones from Auburn Montgomery 6-0, 6-0, and earned third place with a walkover win against Fernando Bogajo from Lindsey Wilson College.
