LIMA - During its 21-game winning streak, the University of Northwestern Ohio volleyball team has taken care of business in each match and steadily increased the streak total. In pushing the winning streak to 22 games, the Lady Racers continued that trend with a quick 3-0 win over Lawrence Tech on Wednesday at Racers Gymnasium.

UNOH won 25-18, 25-21, 25-17 and improved to 25-1 overall and 6-0 in the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference. The Lady Racers are tied with Madonna University and Indiana Tech atop the conference standings.

The Lady Racers were strong from the outside hitter positions as Casey Gates led the way with 14 kills and a .423 attacking percentage, adding five digs and four blocking assists, and Emily Crowell added 11 kills. UNOH had a team attacking percentage of .278.

Lauren Maxwell had 34 assists and eight digs, and Ellie Comes also had eight digs. Jennifer VanVleet and Lauren Macuga each had six digs.

UNOH was plagued with problems on the serve, being docked with 11 service errors.

The Lady Racers take the weekend off before hosting Marygrove College in a WHAC match at 7 p.m. Tuesday.
