CANTON, Mich. - The University of Northwestern Ohio men's golf team finished tied for fifth at the third Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference Jamboree with a 307 on Saturday and heads into the fourth Jamboree third in the conference standings, only 14 strokes back of first-place Davenport University.

One day earlier, the Racers won the Cleary University Fall Invitational with a team score of 317. Kyle Karhoff shot a 77 to lead the team and finish in second place.

At Fellows Creek Golf Club for the WHAC Jamboree, Keith Long turned in a 1-over par 73 for a third-place finish. Alex Odenweller had a 75, Dalton Buffenbarger added a 76, Opie Lucas and Matt Smith each had 83's, and Karhoff had an 86.

Davenport narrowly won the team title with a 297, two shots clear of Siena Heights University. Adam Schmaltz of Siena Heights had a 72 for medalist honors, while Davenport's Alex Watier also had a 72.

The Racers close out the fall season Friday in the WHAC Jamboree No. 4 at Sylvania Country Club in Sylvania, Ohio.
