LIMA - Putting together one good day of golf is hard enough, but playing two solid rounds on back-to-back days is difficult. Keith Long shot a two-day total of 149 for medalist honors at the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference Jamboree #2 last week, and Monday he was named the WHAC Men's Golfer of the Week.
Long, a sophomore from Saline, Michigan, turned in a 77 on the first day and returned to card a 1-over par 72 on the second day. So far this season, Long won the IU-East Earlybird Invitational and finished fifth at the WHAC Jamboree #1.
Long was an All-WHAC honorable mention pick as a freshman.
