LIMA - Another week, another Player of the Week honor for a University of Northwestern Ohio volleyball player. This week, sophomore outside hitter Emily Crowell was given the honor by the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference; it follows teammate Casey Gates' honor last week.

Crowell was named the MVP at the Point Park Invitational over the weekend, helping lead the Lady Racers to a 4-0 mark and the team title. In 14 sets played over four matches, she had 61 kills and only 18 errors in 130 total attacks, 20 digs and seven total blocks. Against the University of Rio Grande, she had 24 kills, two digs and two blocks.

The Lady Racers have rolled out to an impressive 14-1 record, the best in school history. Crowell is second on the team in kills (155), third in blocks (22) and sixth in digs (54). In 54 service receptions, she has no errors.

UNOH travels to Otterbein University in Westerville on Tuesday for a match against the NCAA Division III Cardinals, following an exhibition match against Columbus State Community College. The Lady Racers open the WHAC season the next night at Concordia University.

The next home match for the Lady Racers is September 19 against UM-Dearborn. It is also a Pediatric Cancer Awareness match; all money raised will be donated to pediatric cancer research at Nationwide Children's Hospital in Columbus.
