
ADRIAN, Mich. - The University of Northwestern Ohio men's golf team had four players finish in the top-19 of the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference Jamboree #1, and the Racers earned a third-place finish at Lenawee Country Club on Saturday.
Host Siena Heights won the tournament with a 295 while UNOH had a 299. Madonna was second with a 298.
Keith Long and Alex Odenweller were the top golfers for UNOH, tying for fifth place by shooting matching 3-over par 74s. Matt Smith shot a 75 for an 11th-place spot, and Kyle Karhoff turned in a 76 to finish 19th. Opie Lucas had an 82 and Austin Clarkson added an 85.
Adam Schmaltz of Siena Heights was the medalist with a 1-under 70.
The Racers are in action Tuesday at the WHAC Jamboree #2 at Quail Ridge Golf Club in Ada, Michigan.
