LIMA - Garrett Renner, who has signed to play soccer at the University of Northwestern Ohio, was recently named to the 2012 Scholar-Athlete team by The Lima News. Renner will begin play with the Racers during their inaugural season this August.

Renner, a senior at Lima Bath High School, was among 30 scholar-athletes recognized by the newspaper. There were 131 nominations submitted by 38 schools in the Lima area.
