
LIMA - As the University of Northwestern Ohio men's tennis program prepares to host the NAIA Unaffiliated Group Tournament this weekend, the Intercollegiate Tennis Association released its rankings and the Racers are well represented nationally and in the East Region.
Juan Cardenas and Jeff Brown are ranked 10th in the nation in doubles, and second in the East. Brown is ranked No. 11 in singles in the East, with teammate Gustavo Rueda coming in right behind at No. 12.
The Racers advanced to the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference Championships finals on Saturday before falling to defending champion Aquinas College. The Racers have set a school record with 18 wins this season.
The Unaffiliated Group Tournament will be Friday and Saturday at Racers Courts. The winner of the tournament earns a spot in the NAIA National Tournament.
