NICHOLASVILLE, Ken. - The University of Northwestern Ohio men's golf team started off the spring season in style, winning the two-day Asbury Spring Invitational on Tuesday at Connemara Golf Course. The Racers totaled a two-day total of 623 on the par-71 course, 17 shots clear of Indiana Tech's second-place finish.

UNOH was led by three top-5 finishes, including individual medalist Matt Smith, who had scores of 78 and 74 to total a 152. Keith Long was one shot back in second place (76-77-153), and Austin Clarkson was fifth with an 81-76-157.

Josh Hollar and Matt Warnecke each shot a 166 to round out the Northwestern Ohio golfers.

The Racers are in action Friday and Saturday at the Malone Spring Invitational at Tannenhauf Golf Course in Alliance, Ohio.
