Amanda Francis tied a season-high with 27 points against Lourdes

SYLVANIA - Amanda Francis tied a season high with 27 points and the University of Northwestern Ohio women's basketball team snapped a two-game losing streak with a commanding 83-48 win at Lourdes University on Wednesday.

The Lady Racers moved to 10-10 overall and 5-4 in the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference on the season, after starting off with a 2-7 overall mark. It was the ninth time they topped the 80-point mark. Lourdes fell to 5-15 overall and 0-10 in the WHAC.

Francis went 10-of-18 from the floor and 6-of-8 from the free throw line. She made 5-of-8 field goals after halftime, scoring 15 points.

She added five steals, brining her total to 55 for the year. UNOH had 18 steals against Lourdes.

Karrah Windau added 14 points, on 7-of-9 field goal shooting, and a team-high eight rebounds. Rebecca Puckett had 12 points while converting 5-of-6 from the field.

Lauren Tilden led Lourdes with 21 points. The Gray Wolves had 33 turnovers.

UNOH returns home Saturday when it hosts Cornerstone University at 1 p.m. The Lady Racers are 7-1 at Racer Gymnasium this season.
