HARROD - The UNOH men's golf team opened the week with a strong showing at the Wolverine Hoosier Athletic Conference Jamboree #2, coming in with a 303 team score and a second-place finish at Colonial Golfers Club.

The Racers stumbled a bit later in the week, finishing seventh in the Jamboree #3 with a 328 at Coyote Creek Golf Club in Fort Wayne, Indiana.

Matt Smith led the Racers with a 1-over par 73 and a second place individual finish at Colonial. He was joined in the 70s by Josh Hollar (75), Chase Laster (77), Keith Long (78) and Dalton Buffenbarger (79). Chris Dix had an 85.

Madonna was the low team with a 302. Madonna's Drew Mossian was the medalist with a 72.

At Coyote Creek, Jordan Phillips of Davenport was the medalist with a 72. The Panthers were the team winners with a 296.

Hollar led UNOH with a 76 and Long added an 82. Buffenbarger, Dix and Laster all had 85s and Smith had an 85.

After three of the four Jamborees, UNOH is fourth with a total of 937. Davenport leads with a 905, followed by Madonna (917) and Siena Heights (921). The final Jamboree is Thursday, September 29, at Pheasant Run Golf Course in Canton, Michigan.
