Scott Named WHAC Men's Golfer of the Week

For the second time this season, Northwestern Ohio's Lewis Scott (JR/Portsmouth, England) has been selected as the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference Men's Golfer of the Week for the week ending October 8, it was announced Monday by the conference office.

Scott tied for fourth with a 219 (76-70-73) and was named to the All-Tournament Team at the GV Viking Classic, hosted by Grand View October 2-3 in Polk City, Iowa.  UNOH finished in second, just one stroke behind champion Bellevue.

This is the second WHAC Men's Golfer of the Week honor for Scott this season as he was also chosen on September 4.  It is the fourth time that a Racer has been selected as Gonzalo Garcia-Parada (SO/Malaga, Spain) was picked on October 2 and Reece Blair (JR/Leighton Buzzard, England) on September 11.

For the season, Scott has a 72 round average through 10 rounds, with 68 at the WHAC Jamboree #1 on September 8 being his season best.

Northwestern Ohio is currently competing in WHAC Jamboree #4 in Sylvania, Ohio, and will host Jamboree #5 on Tuesday, October 10, at Lima's Hidden Creek Golf Club.
