CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa – Perfect Game and Rawlings have teamed together to release the season awards for all levels of collegiate baseball, and the University of Northwestern Ohio took home one of the top NAIA honors as Damon Proctor was named the 2017 Perfect Game/Rawlings Pitcher of the Year.

A native of Cheboygan, Mich., Proctor earned the award after a dominant senior season saw the right-handed ace hold an unblemished 13-0 record on the mound while throwing 114 innings and striking out 129 batters. He also represents the "Perfect Game" moniker as he tossed the first perfect game in UNOH history on Feb. 11, 2017 at Union (Ky.) College. The perfect game was the 25th in the history of the NAIA and first since 2014.

The Pitcher of the Year award is the first in UNOH's history and was announced a day following Proctor becoming the Racers' first NAIA All-America First Team selection.
