LAS VEGAS, Nev. – The University of Northwestern Ohio women's basketball squad faced off against Wayland Baptist University on Wednesday night in the Racers' second contest of the Trip Sports Las Vegas Hoopla.

The (RV) Pioneers (10-2) proved to be a difficult matchup for UNOH (6-10) as the Racers fell to WBU by a score of 82-50.

Wayland Baptist had the hot hand, shooting 52.6 percent from the field, 47.8 percent from beyond the arc and hitting 11-of-13 from the charity stripe. Meanwhile, the Racers hit 31.5 percent of their shot attempts and capitalized on 12 of the 21 free throws. UNOH won the rebounding battle, 36-32.

Yasmine Dorrielan led the Racers off the bench with a team-high in points and rebounds at nine and eight respectively, just missing out on her first career double-double. WBU was led by Shawna Monreal's 17 points.

The Racers are now off for the rest of 2016 as the team returns to action on Wednesday, Jan. 4 in a Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference matchup against Lourdes University. UNOH and the Gray Wolves will tipoff inside The Garage at 5:30 PM.
