Georgetown, Ky. – The second and final round of the Bill Sergent Invitational hosted by the University of the Cumberlands has come and gone, and the University of Northwestern Ohio women's golf team finished the event by taking third place in the field of nine.

The Racers' record-breaking 309 in round one was a tough act to follow as UNOH shot 324 the second time through the Cherry Blossom Golf Course for a two-day total 633. Despite the increased score, the Racers remained in third place behind the impressive performances of Cumberlands (618: 307, 311) and the University of Campbellsville (623: 306, 317). At the event's conclusion, UNOH held a nine-stroke lead over conference rival Indiana Tech (642: 318, 324).

After shooting a 79 on Monday, Brianna Baird dropped two strokes for a 77, making her total a team-low 10-over 156 and tied for seventh overall. Rebekah Rader's two-day 157 (75, 82) placed her in ninth while Caitriona Griffin was two strokes behind in an 11th place tie with a 159 (77, 82). Andrea Webster finished in a tie for 15th place with a 161 (78, 83). Wrapping up play for the Racers, Faithe Carr finished 35th with a 173 (80, 93).

The next event for UNOH is the WHAC Jamboree #2 hosted by Concordia University on Sept. 20 and 21. The event will be played in Ann Arbor, Mich. at the Stonebridge Golf Course.
