LONDON, Ky. – Last Sunday, the University of Northwestern Ohio women's golf team broke the team single low round record at the first Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference event – the WHAC Jamboree #1 – but that record did not stand long as the Racers broke it once again on Monday afternoon.

UNOH's new record low round of 18 stands at 309 (+17) as four players shot under 80 strokes during the first day of the Bill Sergent Invitational hosted by the University of the Cumberlands. Despite breaking a school record, the Racers sit in third place behind Campbellsville University (306) and the host Patriots (307) heading into the second round.

Rebekah Rader leads the Racers with a two-over 75 and is tied for fourth place while Caitriona Griffin's 77 places her in eighth place. Tied for ninth place, Andrea Webster shot 78 in the opening 18 holes, and Brianna Baird rounds out the scoring for UNOH with a 79 in a tie for 11th place. An 80 by Faithe Carr has the junior tied for 14th place while providing support for her teammates.

The Racers return to the Crooked Creek Golf Community on Tuesday with sights set on following the record performance with another solid round for the second and final day of the Bill Sergent Invitational.
