LIMA - The University of Northwestern Ohio women's bowling team landed a commitment from Ashley Ebeling for the 2012-13 season, and the men's bowling team received commitments from Dakota Burke, Zach Green and Brandon Reitz.
Ebeling is from nearby Elida, and she will major in Health Information Technology at UNOH. She placed fifth at the UNOH qualification tournament.
"Ashley finished fifth in the handicap division of the UNOH scholarship tournament, and has practiced with the Racers over the last two years. She has a great attitude and will be a great addition to the Racers," UNOH coach Todd Book said.
Burke comes to UNOH from Seymour High School in Indiana, where he advanced to the Indiana high school state semifinals in the 2010-11 season. He will major in High Performance Automotive when he gets to Northwestern Ohio.
"Dakota has performed well in his home state of Indiana, with accolades from the Indiana State Tournament," Book said. "He will be a great addition to the team."
Green comes north from the Columbus area, graduating from Big Walnut High School in Sunbury. He has a 701 series to his credit. He will major in Business Management at Northwestern Ohio.
"Zach has a very solid game and will lend a lot to the Racers program," Book said.
Reitz graduated from Huron High School in Flat Rock, Michigan. He was fifth in the regional tournament, and Huron placed fifth in the state tournament during the program's second season. He will major in Diesel Technology and Sports Marketing and Management at UNOH.
"Brandon performed well at our scholarship tournament, and has a solid foundation. He will be an asset to the Racers bowling program," Book said.
