LIMA - The University of Northwestern Ohio men's basketball team is pleased to announce the signing of Blake Bush for the 2012-13 season.
Bush will be a junior after completing two seasons at Aiken Technical College in Augusta, Georgia. Bush, a 6-foot-5 small forward, averaged 9.4 points, 4.3 rebounds, 3.2 assists and 2.3 steals in two seasons with the Knights. He shot 47.2 percent from the floor and 49.3 percent from 3-point range.
"Blake's high energy and intensity was extremely valuable to the Knights," Aiken Tech coach Henry Capers said. "Blake was also charged with guarding the opponent's best offensive player. His versatility and ability to play multiple positions will be greatly missed."
Bush was named the Knights Most Improved Player after his sophomore season.
"Blake Bush is a skilled small forward who possesses a soft shooting touch and the ability to be a lock-down defender. He really jumps well and is very athletic when slashing to the basket," UNOH coach Chris Adams said. "Blake's quickness and length will allow us to press and trap with more frequency than we have in the past."
